A new paper by UK MP Peter Lilley, a former senior Minister, is a devastating analysis 10 years later of the Stern Review, in which the now Lord Nicholas Stern attempted to assess the adverse economic effects of "climate change" a.k.a. man-made global warming. In a foreword to this Global Warming Policy Foundation paper, its chairman, Lord NIgel Lawson says: "the verdict could not be more damning," adding: "In my 2008 book, An Appeal to Reason: A Cool Look at Global Warming, I observed that 'The Stern Review is essentially a propaganda exercise in support of the UK government's predetermined policy of seeking a world leadership role on climate change. ....[Mr Lilley] 'has produced... a devastating analysis of its shortcomings and an indisputable demolition of its shortcomings."

The paper also includes an article by climate economist Professor Richard Tol, telling how research has moved on, and away from Stern.
