"Scientists and science organisations who put their names to examples of what can only be called junk science should be taken to task for squandering precious resources. But I suppose that's what you get when you commercialise science. The purpose of science these days is to make money - doing truth is just so yesterday."  A blistering article in New Zealand Farmer by Dr Doug Edmeades, in which he presents examples of science being used to justify predictions that have been shown to have neither truth nor justification.
