David Bellamy spent some 30 years travelling the globe talking about nature, becoming one of the best known TV personalities in the English-speaking world. “I’ve never done a day’s work in my life,” says Bellamy. “I’ve only ever done what I enjoy.”  The freedom he used to have makes the contrast with his enforced media purdah even sharper. “I think science should be brave enough to have open debate but it’s all driven by politics,” he says. “When I talk to schools now the kids have never heard of me but the teachers all remember me.” UK Daily Express tells what happened when Bellamy began challenging AGW propaganda.
