In an article reported in UK The Independent Professor David Bellamy, once a household name for his lucid TV programmes about botany, tells how he became shunned by the media establishment when he desrcibed warming caused by CO2 as "poppycock". Dr Bellamy was one of the first overseas scientists to join our New Zealand Climate Science Coalition when we formed in 2006.
